Birthright Israel invites Jewish adults, ages 18-50, to join in strengthening Israel through a hands-on highly subsidized volunteer program. The Birthright Israel Volunteer Program is your chance to make a difference.

Volunteering options
- 8 or 14-day volunteer experience based in one of Israel’s major cities – Travel daily and take part in agriculture, packing/distribution, or other hands-on projects.
- NEW 8-day volunteer experience to help rebuild, restore, and renew the areas most deeply impacted by October 7th. Support the return of Israelis to the border areas with community re-building projects, packing/distribution work, and food security assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
- Between 18-50 years old
- Identify as Jewish (please refer to our FAQ for more information)
- Basic knowledge of English (unless otherwise noted in the program description)
- Have a valid Passport
- Participation in this program does not affect future eligibility for Birthright Israel programs
Program Fee (Beginning Summer 2025)
- Highly subsidized:
- $300 USD Round trip from Europe or FSU (includes $50 registration fee)
- $600 USD Round trip from North America and worldwide countries (includes $50 registration fee)
- Includes ***NEW*** Group Flight, $100 weekly partial food subsidy, furnished housing, volunteer placement for 4-6 hours a day, organized transportation to volunteer sites, health insurance, educational/social program, meeting with Israeli peers, supporting staff.
What’s not included
- Meals
- Travel insurance
- Applicants who wish to arrive to Israel on their own and not use the subsidized group flight will only pay the $50 registration fee.
Application Process
- Choose your program dates & submit your application
- Pay the $600 / $300 fee if you join the group flight or $50 if you’re buying your own ticket.
- $50 of any of those amounts is a non-refundable registration fee.
- Receive an official program offer via email
- Schedule your interview
- Upload additional documents (e.g. passport, medical form)
- Purchase travel insurance (and book your flight if you’re not joining the group flight!)
- Pack your bags to come volunteer in Israel!
