You’ll intern 4-5 days a week alongside Israeli peers and professionals – gaining valuable resume building experiences and networking opportunities. Beyond the workplace, you’ll be encouraged to explore Tel Aviv – Israel’s commercial and culture center. Wander through markets, sample delicious food, soak up Tel Aviv’s beach scene, and discover the nightlife of Israel’s most exciting city!

The STEM & Health Services theme-based Internship program is available to English speakers globally. In addition to professional experiences, this program includes day trips, weekend getaways, and hands-on seminars designed to elevate your understanding of Israel and form new friendships with your peers.

• This theme based program is open for applicants who are not eligible for community based or campus based programs.
• Preference to upperclassmen studying STEM related fields
• Participants MUST be available to participate for the entire length of the program.
• Identify as Jewish- please refer to our FAQ for more information.
• Applicants must NOT have spent 3 or more consecutive months in Israel after high school, or participated in a Birthright Israel Onward program or any other mid-term or long-term educational program in Israel.
• Fluent in English.
• Have a valid Passport for at least 6 months after the program end date.
• Must meet Masa Israel Journey Eligibility criteria, including not having received Masa funding towards participation on a previous program.To review eligibility – click here.

Please note: If you wish to participate in a 10-day Birthright Israel trip, consider doing so prior to an Onward program. You will not be able to participate on Birthright Israel trip after participating on Onward

Participants will also be required to submit a $400 security deposit in cash upon arrival. Deposits will be refunded at the end of the program pending good standing.

The program cost includes housing, educational programming, program staff, basic medical insurance, and ground transportation within the city of residence.

Apartment, hostel, or dorm-style housing in Tel-Aviv.

Important note: participants need to have some experience in the field, at least a couple of personal projects. Must be ready to get assignments, sometimes more than one, to get accepted to certain internships.

Important notes: internships in engineering fields, especially hands-on ones are very limited and sometimes will require longer commute.

There are 3 main paths for Science and Health Students:

-Research in labs- we have connections with different prestigious  labs for research internships. We have collaborations with the Ministry of Health, Labs at Ichilov Hospital, Sheba Medical Center and many opportunities at Tel Aviv University and Weizmann Institute

-Biotech- Israel is becoming a powerhouse in the biotech field. You can intern in different positions in startups and big companies in biotech: social media, sales, research, data and more. Some biotech companies we are in collaboration with: LAVAA, Merck Group, Rhenium , Medint and more
