About This Program
Gain valuable professional experience in your chosen field while creating lasting memories and meaningful connections.
Participate in day trips with Israeli peers, overnight excursions, enriching seminars, and cultural activities that provide a comprehensive immersion into Israeli life.
Acceptance Criteria
- Participants MUST be available to participate for the entire length of the program.
- Applicants between 18-22 years old and not currently enrolled in high school
- Identify as Jewish- please refer to our FAQ for more information.
- Applicants must NOT have spent 3 or more consecutive months in Israel after high school, or participated in a Birthright Israel Onward program or any other mid-term or long-term educational program in Israel.
- Participation in campus or community-based programs in the U.S. requires fluency in English.
- Have a valid Passport for at least 6 months after the program end date
- Must meet Masa Israel Journey Eligibility criteria, including not having received Masa funding towards participation on a previous program
- Please Note:
Participants in Onward Masa programs may choose to extend into long-term Masa programs. However, participation in Onward may affect your eligibility for Masa grants: - If you continue directly from Onward into a long-term Masa program, you will not be eligible to receive a Masa grant for the long-term program.
- Masa requires a minimum gap of 4 months between the end of your Onward program and the start of a new Masa program in order to be considered for grant eligibility.
- Even if you decide to join a Masa program later (not immediately after Onward), your grant eligibility may still be reduced or impacted.
We recommend checking with Masa directly for the most up-to-date details on grant eligibility before making your plans.
To participate in the Internship Campus program, you must be a current student of the respective campus.
Haven’t participated in Birthright Israel yet? Please note that after completing an Onward program, you will no longer be eligible for Birthright. We recommend carefully considering your options before making a decision.
Accomodation
Apartment, hostel, hotel, or dorm-style housing in Tel Aviv.
The number of participants to an apartment or room is dependent on the size of the accommodations and number of participants on the program. Though Birthright Israel Onward housing can vary from program to program, all housing units meet Birthright Israel Onward standards. Program Cost
$999
The program cost includes housing, educational program, program staff, medical insurance, partial laundry provisions, and ground transportation within the city of residence.
In addition, participants will be required to submit a $400 security deposit via Zelle. Deposits will be refunded at the end of the program pending good standing.

*Participants are encouraged to purchase flights with a good refund policy or flight insurance. Birthright Israel Onward is not responsible for the cost of flights should the program be cancelled. Note, participants will be given their expected address approximately two weeks before the program begins, if not earlier.
